Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: Virtual Event
Workshop

The Canadian Macromolecular Crystallography Facility (CMCF) is pleased to announce a Virtual Edition of the Annual CLS MX Data Collection school. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this year’s school will be a virtual event with lectures and data processing tutorials.

CPDW13 – The 13th Canadian Powder Diffraction Workshop

Start date: October 26, 2020
End date: October 30, 2020
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: Virtual Event
Workshop

Welcome to the 13th Canadian Powder diffraction. The workshop will be held remotely, adapting to the current covid19 status. The Workshop sessions will cover the basic theory of powder diffraction, experimental setups, sample preparation and data analysis. Other diffraction and scattering techniques will also be presented, appropriate for the characterization of powders, thin films, single crystals, nanostructured and disordered materials. The programs GSAS-II, pdfGUI and MAX3D will be introduced during the presentations and used in the afternoon’s practical sessions

CCCW20 – 11th Canadian Chemical Crystallography Workshop

Start date: May 19, 2020
End date: May 22, 2020
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: Virtual Event
Workshop

The 11th Canadian Chemical Crystallography Workshop was scheduled to be hosted by the University of Winnipeg, Winnipeg, immediately preceding the 103rd Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition (Winnipeg, MB, May 24-28, 2020). Consistent with the decision made by the Canadian Society for Chemistry with respect to CCCE2020, and out of concern for the health of our participants, instructors, and the larger community, the in-person component of CCCW20 has been cancelled, however, a virtual event is going ahead. and is targeted towards chemistry graduate students and post docs who would benefit from an improved understanding of the basic theory and practice of structure determination using single crystal X-ray diffraction methods.

CMDW2019 – 1st Canadian Materials Diffraction Workshop

Start date: August 20, 2019
End date: August 23, 2019
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada
Workshop

The 1st Canadian Materials Diffraction Workshop (CMDW2019) will be hosted by University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada and the Marine Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence, UNB Faculty of Engineering.

Participation in the Workshop will be limited to approximately 30 participants. This will ensure plenty of facetime for participants to interact with Speakers and Instructors to mingle and exchange about currents trends in materials diffraction while learning/reviewing the basics of the field and software.

2019 CLS Annual MX Data Collection School

Start date: June 25, 2019
End date: June 29, 2019
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: Canadian Light Source, Saskatoon, Canada
Workshop

The Canadian Macromolecular Crystallography Facility (CMCF) is pleased to announce an intensive 5-day hands-on synchrotron data collection school at the Canadian Light Source. Participants will attend a series of lectures and be actively engaged in macromolecular crystallography (Mx) data collection at CMCF beamlines. Special Topic: Structure Solution with Dr. Brian Mark, University of Manitoba.

CCCW19 – 10th Canadian Chemical Crystallography Workshop

Start date: May 26, 2019
