Travel and Accommodations

Workshop applicants are encouraged to apply for support through the Larry Calvert Travel Fund.

Travel

If traveling by commercial airlines, fly to Vancouver International Airport (YVR).  From there, you can take rapid transit, a taxi, or a ride-share into the city.

Airport transfer via public transit (Translink):  Take the Canada line Skytrain into the city.  Several stations have bus connections to the UBC campus.  The UBC bus loop is a short walk to some of the accommodations at UBC.

Accommodation

Workshop attendees are responsible for obtaining their own accommodation.

There are accommodation options available on the UBC campus suitable for different budgets.  Go to this website to find a place to stay:  https://suitesatubc.com/.  Note – the hostel-style rooms may not be available for booking until closer to the end of the winter school term.

Conference rate:  Unfortunately, there is no conference rate for this workshop.
